This is a quick guide for the creation of Hub accounts for external users

Initial Creation

Firstly, open Hub using this link and select the “Sign Up” button.

On the next screen, enter the user's email address, First & Last Name and set a password (We recommend using a random password generator such as this one here).

Once you select the “Sign Up” button the account will be created and you will be displayed a screen stating you don’t have access to SmartCloud. Simply click the sign out button.

Assigning Permissions

Now the account has been created we need to grant it the necessary permissions to access Hub. On console select the Menu -> Manage -> User Management -> Manage Users

Search for the user you have created either by name or email. They will appear in the Unassigned Users section. Select “Assign Organisation” and assign the user to SP UK Managed Services.

Once assigned, select the arrow on the left hand side and a drop down will appear. Select App, click the pencil and select user next to SmartCloud Hub (If you want the account to have access to the corporate whitelist, select User & Corporate roles).

Once this has been completed we need to give the user access to their specific site/sites.Select Regions and Sites, click the pencil and assign the user role next to the site and region (if you assign user role to site only then the account will not work).

Once confirmed the last step is to make sure the correct Hub features are enabled for the site.

Hub Site Features

By default external users will be able to view the live dashboard, reports & VOI on Hub. To enable additional features navigate to Manage -> Site Management -> Edit Site Settings and search for the site.
